SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — With the holiday gift-giving season upon us, we’ll be ordering online–and those packages will often arrive on our doorsteps.
But will the packages still be there when we get home?
A new study by security.org says South Dakota is in the bottom 20 percent of states with package larcenies per 100,000 people.
That’s good.
The Mount Rushmore State ranked 38th at 1,421 larcenies per 100,000 people.
The worst place to leave a package on your step is the District of Columbia. It had 3,650 larcenies per 100,000 people.
The best is Massachusetts. It has 1,078 larcenies per 100,000 residents.
