SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police were busy yesterday investigating and arresting suspects in three crimes that featured aggravated assaults and attempting kidnappings.
BOYFRIEND THREATENS GIRLFRIEND WITH A CHAIN SAW
Sioux Falls Police arrest a man who threatened to attack his girlfriend with a chainsaw and tried to kidnap her.
Police arrested Dylan Lee Warner, 39, of Sioux Falls.
Authorities say the woman locked the front door on Warner because he was acting erratically.
He tried to kick in the front door.
He then went to the garage and tried to start a chainsaw and said he was going to use it on the woman.
The chainsaw wouldn’t start.
The woman jumped out of a second-floor window and ran to a neighbor’s for help.
She was not hurt.
EX-GIRLFRIEND KIDNAPS AND THREATENS WOMAN WITH A KNIFE
Sioux Falls Police arrest a woman for beating and kidnapping her former girlfriend.
Police arrested Reanna Fayola Johnson, 19, from Sioux Falls.
Her ex-girlfriend was in the 3rd and Highland area walking to a relative’s home.
She says Johnson saw her and forced her into her apartment.
Authorities say Johnson then went after the victim with a knife, then an umbrella.
The woman who was assaulted and kidnapped is ok.
WOMAN ABDUCTED AND TAKEN ON A “JOYRIDE”
A Sioux Falls woman who was just trying to be friendly got kidnapped instead.
Police have charged Ashton Brooks White-Olsen, 23, from Sioux Falls, with kidnapping.
The victim, a 33-year-old woman from Humboldt, says she saw his pick up while she was parked at a lot at 10th and Kiwanis.
He approached her car and wanted to sell her a cell phone.
He later said he couldn’t hear the woman and invited her into his truck.
He then took off at a high rate of speed and drove around with the victim for several hours.
The man finally let the woman go near her car. She ran away for help.
The woman is unhurt.
Police later spotted the truck near 41st Street and Louise Avenue and arrested White-Olsen.
