Everyone KELO.com News talked to did not realize that the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House, located at 101 North Indiana Avenue, is open during most of the day and does offer bathroom facilities.
Most of the people KELO.com News talked with on the streets said they liked City Councilor Theresa Stehly’s idea of putting port-a-potties downtown. People said they knew that the homeless sometimes went to the bathroom in peoples’ yards or in alleys.
“Our daytime services are seven days a week 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.,” said Maria Krell, the Dudley’s HR and program director. “Use of our facility is predicated on behavior and self care.”
According to its website, the Dudley offers also showers, laundry, counseling services, and a daytime shelter.
