SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service confirms that a tornado hit south Sioux Falls about 11:45 p.m. last night.
KELO.com News has received unconfirmed reports of damage in the southern part of the city.
- Roof torn off Avera Heart Hospital near I-229 and Louise Avenue
- Trees down in the Augustana University neighborhood
- Burger King damaged at 41st Street and Elmwood Ave.
- Structure collapses on Grange and Hawthorne Avenues.
The area remain under a thunderstorm watch until 4 a.m. and a flash flood warning until 2:30 a.m.
