Likely Republican Congressional candidate Neal Tapio says central Sioux Falls is becoming crime-ridden.
In a Facebook post, he says the drive into downtown Sioux Falls from the east on 8th or 10th Street is a complete disaster and that there are drunken bodies everywhere.
He blames Lutheran Social Services for bringing in Somalis and other immigrants into Sioux Falls and Minneapolis.
Tapio calls it “the slow destruction of our city.”
He says Sioux Falls could end up with same problems as Minneapolis.
According to his Facebook page, Tapio lives in Watertown where he was a state senator.
Tapio ran for the GOP nomination for the U.S. House in 2018 and lost to eventual winner Rep. Dusty Johnson in the primary.
