SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A man who stole two vaping pens from a store ended up turning the thefts into breaking into a house with kids in it.
Sioux Falls Police say Arthur James Eagle Feather, 28, from Sioux Falls ran away from the business in the 1600 block of East 10th Street and into a nearby neighborhood near 7th and Whalen.
Police saw him and the suspect ran into a house in the 1400 block of East 6th Street.Eagle Feather barricaded himself in a room where 2 and 4 year old girls were in.
The homeowner called the police.
The suspect tried to push out the airconditioner from the window and escape through the window.
Police entered the residence.Eagle Feather then barricaded himself in the bathroom but police busted down the door.
No one was hurt.
Eagle Feather faces multiple charges: second degree burglary, false impersonation, fleeing police, obstruction, shop lifting, outstanding warrants, and being a parole absconder.
