SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure – Madison Street
Beginning on Friday, September 27, 2019, the outside eastbound lane of West Madison Street will be closed between Haley Avenue and Hudson Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. Eastbound traffic will be maintained in the inside eastbound lane. Westbound traffic will not be impacted.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – 26th street
Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019, westbound traffic on East 26th Street will be closed from the I-229 southbound ramps to the west. Interstate access will be open for the southbound I-229 traffic either turning south to enter I-229 or traffic exiting southbound I-229 turning east. Contractors will be paving the westbound lanes of 26th street near Frederick Avenue.
This work is anticipated to be complete by 4:00 p.m. on September 28, 2019.

Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue and the sidewalk along the west side of the street will be closed between West Batcheller Lane and West 57th Street.
Brooks Construction will be performing sidewalk work.
This work anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on October 1, 2019.

Street Closure – 11th Street
Beginning on Friday, September 27, 2019, West 11th Street will be closed on the east side of Minnesota Avenue for approximately a four hour time period starting after the peak morning commute to allow construction crews to pave this half of the intersection.
Traffic will be detoured using Grange Avenue and Ninth Street as an alternate route.
Fourteenth and 18th Street may have intermittent closures on the east side of Minnesota Avenue later Friday and early Saturday to allow crews to pave through those intersections as well.
