SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls’ forecast:
Rain chances increase today, with widespread rain into the overnight hours. Winds will also increase dramatically by this afternoon.
High winds are expected in many areas, with gusts between 40 and 60 mph at times. Damaging winds may also be possible in the Buffalo Ridge areas.
Dry, but breezy conditions arrive by Tuesday, but these conditions will be short-lived as rain again arrives by Wednesday.
A prevailing theme this week will be cooler than normal temperatures.
