SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is investigating a late-night house fire.
Firefighters responded to a fire at 7012 S. Connie Avenue just before 11:30 p.m.
The fire was in the kitchen. SFFR extinguished it in about five minutes.
The Red Cross offered assistance to the resident and his dog.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 11:23 pm October 31, 2019 Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 7012 S Connie Ave.
First arriving units reported light smoke coming from a one story residential house. The resident had just arrived home to find the interior of his house, full of smoke and called 911. A small fire was found in the kitchen of the house and was completely extinguished in 5 minutes.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported on scene. Red Cross offered assistance to the resident and his dog who were displaced from their home for the night. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 20 personnel, 4 fire trucks and 2 support vehicles. Sioux Falls Fire rescue would like to thank Metro Communications, Sioux Falls Police Department, Patient Care Ambulance, Southeastern Energy, Red Cross and MidAmerican Energy for their assistance.
