SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An extra $1.5 million that’s earmarked to go to the parking ramp project in downtown Sioux Falls will have to wait.
The City Council considered a resolution at the end of last night’s lengthy meeting but decided to defer it until next week.
During the discussion, City finance director Shawn Pritchett said it’s not taxpayer money that’s being moved around. The money comes from parking fees and fines.
The project was supposed to have a big hotel and retail space on top.
After that plan fell apart the City needs this money to make it a stand-alone ramp.
