SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Authorities are investigating a house fire Friday morning at a home at 1900 S. Fox Trail.
There were no injuries.
It took firefighters about 10 minutes to extinguish the fire and another couple of hours to remove smoke and make sure the fire was out.
SFFR thinks the fire originated in a bedroom.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: On November 8, 2019, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a residential fire at 1900 S Fox Trail. Initial reports were that a fire was located in a bedroom of the home. The first-arriving crew reported that they had heavy smoke coming from the residence on their arrival. Two adults and two children were home at the time of the fire and exited the house before fire crews arrived. Fire crews entered the building to extinguish the fire and conduct searches to ensure the building was unoccupied. Crews were able to have the fire under control within 10 minutes on scene. Crews continued to work for several hours after the fire to remove smoke and ensure extinguishment.
There were no injuries reported from either occupants or responders. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The American Red Cross was notified and offered assistance.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, three support vehicles, and 20 firefighters.
