SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Authorities will use a cadaver dog to try to locate the remains of a woman missing since 1974.
Ellabeth Lodermeier has been missing since then. Police presume she is dead.
The search team will start near S.D. 42 and the Big Sioux River tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Lodermeier was 25, from Aberdeen, and an Augustana College graduate. Friends and family say she had just ended an abusive relationship.

In 1992, a farmer found her purse and pocketbook along the Big Sioux River east of Sioux Falls.
There have been no arrests in the case.

Tomorrow morning, a cadaver dog will search along the Big Sioux River in an attempt to find the remains of Ellabeth Lodermeier. Ellabeth was reported missing in 1974 and is presumed to be dead. At 10am on Wednesday, Nov 13, a search team will meet near Highway 42 and the Big Sioux River. There is an upper parking area near the entrance to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge that will serve as a staging area. The search will take place along the river adjacent to Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum property.
