SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A nine-month-old baby died after being taken to the hospital from an in-home daycare yesterday afternoon.
Sioux Falls Police say the infant was not breathing while at the daycare in the 4700 block of South Wassom Ave. in southwest Sioux Falls.
Authorities closed down the daycare as it had too many children in care at the time.
State law allows in-home daycares to handle 12 children. Police say the daycare had 16 children, including five children under the age of four.
Police say they have made no arrests and have no suspects.
Their investigation continues.
