SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — As South Dakota’s Meth: We’re On It campaign continues, the state is urging people to get involved.
Officials say to look out for signs of meth addiction, like paranoia, depression, dilated pupils and dental issues, among other symptoms.
The state is also encouraging parents to talk to their kids about substance abuse.
South Dakota has made over 2,200 meth-related arrests this year as of August; the state made 3,684 such arrests in 2018. The state says twice as many 12-17 year-olds in South Dakota report using meth than the national average.
The state has more information at the campaign’s website: OnMeth.com.
