SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — KELO.com News’ number one most impactful story of 2019 was the bad weather.
South Dakota faced one weather disaster after another.
If it wasn’t record flooding, it was snow storms…
..If it wasn’t snow, it was tornadoes, three of them in one day in Sioux Falls.
Governor Kristi Noem kept busy asking for federal help.
“Which I think is unprecedented in South Dakota, maybe, I don’t know, maybe nationwide, to have five federally declared disasters.”
No wonder, 2019 was South Dakota’s wettest year on record.
The storms, tornadoes and flooding cost millions in damaged and destroyed private and public infrastructure.
