SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Gov. Kristi Noem has filled another vacancy in the South Dakota Senate ahead of the 2020 legislative session.
Kyle Schoenfish (SHANE-fish) of Scotland fills the spot of retired state Senator Stace Nelson. Schoenfish had served in the state House since 2013.
Marty Overweg replaces Schoenfish in the House. Overweg owns and operates Overweg Feed and Wagner Feed Supply.
In a release, Noem called both men “pillars in their communities” with “excellent records of service.”
The 2020 session begins on January 14.
