KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KELO.com) — Climate observers continue to warn of conditions that could lead to another round of flooding this spring.
Doug Kluck, Central Region Climate Service Director for the National Weather Service in Kansas City, says there is a lot of water locked up in the frozen ground and snow.
Kluck, during the monthly climate update, says the updated forecasts are not optimistic.
He says normal precipitation from here on would not be good either.
The first official flood forecast for the region will be released in the middle of next month.
