PARKSTON, S.D. (KELO.com) — One person died early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash west of Parkston.
A vehicle was westbound on South Dakota Highway 44 when the driver lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled.
The 30-year-old female driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. She was the only person involved.

PARKSTON, S.D. – One person died early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash west of Parkston.
The name of the decease is not being released pending notification of family members.
A 2010 Acura TSX was westbound on South Dakota Highway 44 when the driver lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled.
The 30-year-old female driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. She was the only person involved.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
