RENNER, S.D. (KELO.com) — The State Highway Patrol says an SUV traveling northbound on Interstate 29 near Renner Tuesday morning, lost control, went into the southbound lanes and hit a pickup.
The man, 30, driving the SUV was killed. The man, also 30, driving the pickup was only slightly hurt and refused medical treatment. Both were wearing seat belts. Apparently there were no passengers in either vehicle.
It’s unclear what caused the SUV to lose control. Portions of I-29 may still be slick or icy from the recent storms.
