SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — “We worked hard to put drug dealers out of
business.” Those are the words of Mayor Paul Ten Haken as he looks back on
2019. Ten Haken reminds us that Sioux Falls made big strides in the war on
drugs, as the drug task force seized a record amount of narcotics from dealers
in Sioux Falls. The mayor also says a broad coalition of community
organizations made progress to open the Community Triage Center for those
needing treatment, and city leaders worked with state leaders on proposals for
additional treatment paths.
