SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — City Councilor Theresa Stehly accuses the Sioux Falls Development Foundation of playing politics against her.
Alex Jensen is running for Stehly’s seat this spring. The non-profit Foundation published an article featuring Jensen’s campaign treasurer. Stehly has not yet officially declared she is running for re-election.
At Tuesday’s informational meeting, Stehly confronted the Foundation with the article, asking it be taken down and she ripped into Councilor Christine Erickson when Erickson came to the Foundation’s defense.
“I don’t think you can be impartial on this because you have already funded and hosted a fundraiser for Alex Jensen.”
City Council helps fund the Foundation and Stehly claims the article amounts to political activity by a non-profit.
