SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Friday and Saturday’s big snow event meant a lot of work for City of Sioux Falls snowfighters and their contractors.
The City says snow operations plowed 3,176 lane miles after the winter storm, including 784 emergency lane miles and 2,392 lane miles.
There were 37 motor graders, 42 sanders and 24 private contractor motor graders. Snow pick-up operations began Sunday afternoon.
The National Weather Service estimates the total snowfall at 7.1 inches.
