SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Marshall Dean Lanier issued a couple of reminders after a fire at Sanford Hospital on Tuesday.
Lanier says if we focus on being prepared not only for commercial businesses but also for every family that lives within our community regardless of their living arrangements positive outcomes can occur.
Lanier also says it is important to have action plans and to be ready to execute those plans and practice them before an incident occurs.
He says awareness, preparedness and effective response that’s an important concept to take hold of.
Think about that in terms of both fire incidents that we have within our community and with weather forecasters saying it will likely be another busy spring season for us.
Be protected, and be prepared for an incident and not wait for an incident to occur to take time out to figure out what our action steps should be.
