TORONTO, S.D. (KELO.com) — A two-vehicle crash west of Toronto, South Dakota Friday afternoon has left one person dead.
A semi was pulling a full trailer and a pup trailer northbound when the driver braked suddenly for two dogs running across the interstate when it was rear-ended by a 2013 Mazda.
The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was uninjured.
Both were wearing their seatbelts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
Names of the two people involved are not being released at this time.
