MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Pennington County man who died of COVID-19 may have exposed health care providers who treated him at a Mitchell hospital.
The man in his 60s died at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.
Hospital CEO Tom Clark says 16 staff were involved and put on self-isolation.
Clark says all have been tested as far as he knows everything’s been negative. Some have returned to work.
10 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in South Dakota, per the state’s most recent update at noon on Monday.
