WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds is reminding South Dakotans about the convenience of telehealth, the ability to visit a doctor by phone or over the internet.
And he is a co-sponsor of the CONNECT for Health Act, which would allow for permanent expanded telehealth services for Americans who utilize Medicare.
The bipartisan bill would cut through the red tape and allow rural health clinics to make telehealth services accessible to even more individuals.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration announced that Medicare would immediately expand coverage to telehealth services across the nation.
