SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst criticized Democrats who voted against coronavirus relief on the Senate floor.
“Maybe you don’t think—across the aisle—that Phase 3 is perfect,” Ernst said. “But you know what? The longer we delay this, the more Iowans I’m going to hear crying on the other end of the phone.”
All but one of the Senate Democrats voted against the bill, blocking its passage. They said it contained too little money for states and hospitals and not enough restrictions on a fund to help big businesses. The two sides are still negotiating.
