SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s Department of Social Services is reminding people to take care of their mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Anxiety about the current health emergency, financial stress, and isolation from friends, family, and support systems can cause major issues for many South Dakotans,” DSS Cabinet Secretary Laurie Gill said in a release.
The pandemic and social distancing can be particularly difficult for those with anxiety or depression. DSS reminded South Dakotans to seek help when they need it, and reach out to friends and family who may be struggling.
