South Dakota State’s football team hosts Drake on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Brookings.

The Jackrabbits, ranked No. 3 in the FCS, are a 32.5 favorite over the Bulldogs of the Pioneer League. SDSU beat Drake 51-10 in their last meeting in 2016.
Jacks starting quarterback J’Bore Gibbs sat out last Saturday’s 38-3 win over Long Island. Coach John Stiegelmeier told KWSN’s “Craig & John” Gibbs’ undisclosed injury may be healed in time for him to play against Drake.
Gibbs who was impressive despite a couple costly turnovers in SDSU’s 28-21 season-opening loss at Minnesota two weeks ago. If he can’t play, Mitchell native Kanin Nelson will get the start for a second consecutive game.
