SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls’ forecast:
A strong front will result in gusty winds as it moves through the region.
This will likely result in blowing and drifting of snow and the potential for significant travel issues.
Additionally, quickly falling temperatures behind the front could lead to a flash freeze of any wet pavement.
Behind the arctic front, temperatures will plummet into the single and double digits below zero Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
With continued strong wind gusts, wind chills will be extremely cold, ranging from -20 to -40 into Thursday morning.
