SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says police were searching for a man that ran from a stolen vehicle.
He says that is the reason for the heavy police presence Thursday in the 700 block area of South Walts Avenue. The man was eventually captured.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police have set up a perimeter in the 700 block area of South Walts Avenue.
They were searching in the ally behind houses on Walts and Menlo.
KELO.com News’ Liz Ryan is at the scene.
She says scanner traffic noted that the police were in foot pursuit of the man but gave no other details.
Liz says the police were looking on the ground for something.
She also said the police were bundled up with the cold weather with parkas, gloves, stocking caps, and other cold-weather gear.
