SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The recent vandalism at a downtown Sioux Falls book store was not a hate crime, according to police.
The owners of the Full Circle Book Co-op thought, at the time anyway, that the egging, over two days, was because of the transgender flag flying out in front.
Apparently, it was more personal than that says Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.
“The main thing is there wasn’t anything substantial to do with a hate crime. Sounds like they basically….knew who the owner of the store was and didn’t like him.”
Police think they know who did the egging – six teenagers.
