SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls car thief sits in jail today.
29-year-old Sioux Falls resident Shawn Michael Long. Long’s rap sheet may soon include grand theft, two charges of possession of stolen vehicles plus obstruction, fleeing from police, and resisting arrest.
Law enforcement believes he stole more vehicles, as well.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says that of the 89 stolen vehicles were stolen in January, 77 of them had keys in them at the time they were stolen.
Sixty three vehicles stolen have been stolen so far in February.
