SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Mayor Paul TenHaken sat down with Kelo.com’s Greg Belfrage Friday morning and spoke about spring flooding concerns in Sioux Falls.
TenHaken says the latest state hydrology report came out this week and Sioux Falls is still at above-average risk for spring flooding.
The mayor says he is “cautiously optimistic” that the chances of spring flooding are dropping, we’re still at an above-average likely hood that we’ll have it but the weather we are having right now is helping.
The slow gradual melt to the snow is exactly what we need, it’s perfect weather we’ve been having to mitigate spring flooding.
