“Exciting news to share as it appears I have been re-elected to a second term on the City Council! (no opponent announced a candidacy as of Fridays deadline) While extremely grateful, there are honestly some mixed emotions to winning unopposed. I was excited and ready to continue the campaign and kick it into high gear…ready for one last rumble! And being a political nerd you always like to see folks take part in the process. Some say no opponent has a lot to do with respect for incumbency/the job I’m doing, (and I appreciate the compliment) But I also know it has something to do with apathy in what goes on in city govt. Hopefully we can continue to work on and improve on that through our leadership example…with your input always being welcome and essential.”
“Anywhoo…my heart is full, and my appreciation to all of you for your encouragement, love and support always keeps me motivated to do and be better. I will continue to do my best in term II. Thank you so much!”
The Sioux Falls City Council regular elections take place on April 14th, 2020. The Runoff Election takes place on May 5th, 2020.
