SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Electrical problems may be the culprit in a Sioux Falls house fire.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to the fire in the 2600 block of South Hawthorne Avenue shortly after five o’clock Saturday afternoon.
The fire was brought under control using dry chemicals and water from a remote application device that did not require contact from a firefighter to operate.
Xcel energy de-energized the house electrical lines and fire crews were able to check the home for further damage.
