SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls community has been treating Domino’s Pizza Delivery drivers like gold since the shooting death of Casey Bonhorst.
Domino’s Store Owner Susan Graves wants to say thank you.
“The extra tips they have given to the drivers. Watching them go to the cars and making sure they get back into their cars safely.”
She wants to say thank you for the way the community has opened its heart.
“Showing their love and support to our team members, sending donuts and flowers and calls. It has been incredibly heartwarming.”
Graves says Bonhorst was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He was family so she says she and her team are grieving with the Bonhorst family.
The funeral was Tuesday at the Viborg Community Center.
Bonhorst was shot and killed last week while on the job delivering pizza.
No suspects have been captured yet. Police are releasing very few details of the investigation.
