SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The coronavirus has shut down the Sioux Falls St. Patrick’s Day Parade that was scheduled for Saturday.
The organizers, the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, cited concerns about large crowds gathering and people being in close proximity to each other.
The event joins the West Central School District in being closed until Monday.
The NCAA also just this afternoon said it would limit “March Madness” D-I basketball games to staff and family members of the players.
Three coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Minnehaha County and eight overall in South Dakota.
This is a developing story.
