SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Minnehaha County Commission will hold a special meeting Friday, March 26, on the community spread of the Coronavirus.
There are now 16 cases in Minnehaha.
Commissioner Jean Bender says they’ll consider social distancing mandates similar to what Sioux Falls is doing.
“Just to make sure that people are taking seriously these directives to not gather in groups of ten or more people..”
Bender tells Kelo Radio’s Greg Belfrage Show that another concern is makng sure there are protocols in place if someone at the county jail gets COVID-19.
The meeting is set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Commission meeting room at 415 N. Dakota Avenue in Sioux Falls. The public is invited.
