SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says it might rain.
A rapidly intensifying area of low pressure is expected to impact the region this weekend. Rain is expected to develop around the region, and continue into Sunday morning. The prolonged precipitation could create areas of standing water, prompting a flood watch to be issued for parts of the region. The rain may mix with snow Saturday afternoon into Saturday night across southwest Minnesota. Strong winds are also expected on Saturday, with wind gusts up to 50 mph possible.
