A cold front is expected to move across the region tonight into Thursday.
As the cold air moves into the region, rain is expected to transition to freezing rain before potentially transitioning to snow Friday morning.
A winter weather advisory is in effect Thursday into Friday morning for southeastern South Dakota into southwest Minnesota.
