SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Marion Road Reconstruction from
Maple Street to Madison Street
Beginning on Friday, April 3, 2020, work will begin for the reconstruction of North Marion Road from Maple Street to Madison Street. North Marion Road will be expanded from a rural asphalt section to a four-lane concrete urban section with turn lanes. Work will include storm sewer, street lights, traffic signals, water main and sanitary sewer.
The project will be constructed as a full closure from Maple Street to Madison Street. Traffic will be detoured to the east along Maple Street and Madison Street to Career Avenue and Terry Avenue.
Work is anticipated to be complete by the fall of 2020 with minor cleanup, and restoration to be completed in the spring of 2021.
T&R Contracting is the prime contractor.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
