PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota reports no new deaths from the coronavirus.
The state’s death toll remains at 98.
The department of health reports 79 new positive cases for a total of 7,242. That is an increase of 21 from yesterday.
90 more South Dakotans have recovered, for a total of 6,280.
Fifty-four people are currently hospitalized, a drop of 10 patients. 709 South Dakotans have been hospitalized over the course of the pandemic, and an increase of 10.
There are currently 864 active cases, a drop of 11 cases.
The 14-day rate of cases is 90 per 100,000 population. The historical rate of cases is 815 per 100,000.
