MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO.com) — A rare meteorological event occurred at Mitchell, SD late last evening, as weakening showers/thunderstorms resulted in a “heat burst”.
Winds reached 50 to 60 mph for around a half-hour, with a temperature jump into the mid 90’s and humidity plunge to around 18 percent.
