BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — What’s worse than a dumpster fire?
Maybe a landfill fire.
Authorities are investigating the Brookings City Landfill catching on fire early this morning.
The Brookings Fire Dept. and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office found that the main trash pile had started on fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
