SFFR responds to afternoon housefire Monday in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com)– Shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was called to a home in the 300 block of N. Blauvelt Avenue.

Upon their arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from the side door of the house.

Fire crews had the main fire extinguished in the first 5 minutes of their arrival.

There were no injuries reported to firefighters or the home’s occupants, but 3 cats inside the home did not survive.
