Augustana junior Tyler Riemersma is the NSIC South Division men’s basketball Player of the Week.
The 6’8 forward from Bloomington, Minn., veraged a double-double of 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two Viking wins. His double-double (20 points, 16 rebounds) in the Vikings’ conference-opening win over Wayne State included a second half stretch in which Riemersma scored 11 straight points.
Riemersma shot 62.5 percent from the field on the week, which included a win in the nonconference finale over Nebraska Christian.
The Vikings (6-1, 1-0) host conference home games this Friday (Winona State, 7:30) and Saturday (Upper Iowa, 5:30) in the Sanford Pentagon.
