SIOUX FALLS, SD – Sioux Falls Storm wide receivers Brandon Sheperd and Kent Shelby have signed 2-year contract deals with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
Shepard racked up 864 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns in his one season in Sioux Falls in 2018, earning Second-Team All-IFL honors.
“He is most athletic wide receiver in the league and was going to be a feature guy for us again,” Storm head coach Kurtiss Riggs said in a team media release, ” but Brandon is experiencing what this league is all about — opportunity to advance and he earned it.”
Shepard played collegiately at Oklahoma State, tallying 69 receptions for 1,184 yards and eight touchdowns. He ranked third in the Big 12 and 20th nationally with 18.9 yards per reception in 2014.
