PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Both medical marijuana bills brought before the S.D. House Thursday failed on the floor.
HB 1058 and HB 1057 were both defeated by the representatives.
HB 1058 would have banned dispensaries from selling or manufacturing cannabis products with added flavorings, sweeteners or colors.
HB 1057 would have prohibited cardholders from giving medical cannabis to other people.
The prime sponsor of the bills, Rep.Fred Deutsch, says he doesn’t plan at this time to bring the measures back next year if he is reelected.
