SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here are the highlights from Thursday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
COUNTERFEITERS PASS 16 FAKE $100 BILLS
Counterfeiters in Sioux Falls have gotten more brazen.
Sioux Falls Police are investigating the successful passing of 16 fake $100 bills at the Walgreens at 41st Street and Louise Avenue Wednesday.
They successfully exchanged the phony money for gift cards.
Police said it was a group of 3-4 Black men believed to be in their 30s and 40s.
They tried the same thing at another Walgreens at 26th and Minnesota.
This time, the clerk spotted the fake money.
They said it felt “waxy.”
MAN PULLS A GUN AT A BAR FIGHT
Sioux Falls Police are investigating an incident at a bar where a man drew a gun.
Police say it happened early Thursday morning.
They say a fight broke out in the bar.
Someone spotted a guy with a gun in the bar’s vestibule.
There were no shots.
Police are still looking for the man.
